The Surefire only uses a tiny amount of gas, just 2.5kWh or around 10 pence per hour. This is the same amount of gas as the smallest ring on a gas cooker, yet it will warm your house more than a 7kW conventional gas fire. The gas is burnt through a specifically designed burner and coal bed which has been designed to glow as much as possible. This red glow is heat being taken from the burning gas and being converted to radiant heat.

Magiglow Empathy Flueless Gas Fire.
The 100% efficient Empathy is a catalytic fluesless gas fire which is designed to operate without a flue. This means that all the gas is used to heat your room and none is lost up the chimney.
The Empathy can be installed on any wall, with or without a fireplace opening, in almost any room with a minimum room size of 30m³. A number of styling options are offered with the impressive pebble or coal fuel bed.
